Bidrage med feedbackI recently placed an order through Cinnamons website, and the order was accepted and I was charged for the order. About 15 minutes later I received an email saying the restaurant was busy and that my order had been cancelled. I've sent multiple emails and have phoned the restaurant about this issue which they apologised for, but I'm yet to get my money back for the order FOR SOMETHING THAT I DID NOT EVEN RECIEVE! I was told the refund would be back in my account within 3 5 working days after getting in touch. It is now 18 days since I placed the order and 12 working days since I received the email saying I would be refunded in 3 5 days. I would recommend to anyone, order from somewhere else, it's not worth the risk of the restaurant charging you for an order which you don't get then withholding the refund.
Firstly, I had ordered Raitha with my curry and naan and less than 10 minutes after ordering someone called to tell me that they unfortunately had no Raitha currently but would give me minty yoghurt and free complimentary sauces. Simply calling to tell me they had no Raitha was nice enough but the addition of complimentary sauces was really nice. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot (most of the time when I order food from places it arrives lukewarm, so this was a nice surprise). I had ordered Butter Chicken with Pilau Rice and it was delicious! The naan was also really good, and they gave me a free poppadom with two complimentary sauces, along with the minty yoghurt, which was a really nice bonus. Overall my food was fantastic and definitely some of the best curry I've ordered, will definitely order from here again.
We ordered from Cinnamon Home last night. I had the vegetable dhansak and my boyfriend had chicken korma, with a garlic naan, popadoms, raita, spiced onions and coconut rice on the side. The total cost was £30, which we found to be reasonable. The food was truly delicious and the portions were very generous, so we had leftovers for lunch today! We were pleased to see that foil containers were used, which can be easily recycled if cleaned properly. We picked up our order from the shop and it was ready in 15 minutes, with friendly service. We would definitely order from Cinnamon again!
We hadn't use Cinnamon for a wee while, but decided to give them a try again last night and to say we were underwhelmed is an understatement. The food arrived in around 45 mins which was great, however that's where the good stuff finished.I opened up our order to find both main meals had leaked all over everything. We managed to get it all emptied and put the food into dishes. My wife had chicken korma and I had chicken Dansak. the korma was really bland, I now it's not an exciting dish but It would have been nice if it had tasted of anything. And my Dansak was unbelievably spicy, almost as if the chef had spilled some extra spices into it and just hoped it would be OK both were so bad that we didn't get halfway through eating it. The pakora was cold, didn't taste great and got thrown out. We went to get some poppadom and found a bag which was literally smush, there wasn't a bit big enough to dip into sauce. And the naan bed was wet, not just soggy, but wet. And all for the pleasure of paying close to £35 for it!!! It all got thrown out, and it's safe to say that Cinnamon hasn't improved any since the last time we used it we'll not be going back again, there must be many many better places for a takeaway than here. If you fancy a curry, avoid this place at all costs dreadful just about covers it.
Title says it all and where to start: If I could award no stars I would: Food was ordered and collected in store: Poppadum’s supplied but without dips. Pakora grossly over cooked and yet somehow sitting in a pool of oil when unpackaged, no dips. Burnt green curry – chicken was terrible, sauce bland. Naga – supposedly madras strength – it was not, chicken OK at best. Chips soggy and tasteless Rice – Ok I suppose. Nann bread – was ordered but not put in with the order. Called to complain and was assured that someone would be round to the house with a refund either on Saturday or Sunday night – still waiting. For an establishment charging restaurant prices for takeaway food the above is shocking! If you want quality drive a little further up King Street and go to the Shalimar (beside BP petrol station). Never been disappointed and significantly cheaper.
