Gians Sweet Shop & Restaurant

Went to eat there today. Archetypal Indian restaurant (...and i am an India born Indian). Torn table covers around the edges (All of them. We checked eight tables). Dirty plates, had to be returned. Food was good, service was Ok, servers were pleasant. They need to work on the aesthetics.

Over the last number of years my wife and I have enjoyed making this place our go to for Indian food and have always really enjoyed the food. The service however has been good sometimes and just ok others. It is never bad but when you get one of the long term servers (managers or owners I am guessing) it's definitely a lot better. A few weeks ago we went for a birthday party with a larger group and again the food was great but the service was mediocre. I still think it's a great choice of Indian food in Abbotsford however don't expect too much from service at least from some of the servers.

I took my wife and my kids to this restaurant expecting good food and good service...What I got was the exact opposite. Rude owners and rude staff! My wife was shocked. The food was disgusting, the butter chicken was awful. I will be looking elsewhere for authentic Indian food, there are many other Indian restaurants that are better then this one.

A good variety of Indian food, especially if you like it a little hot. Eat in or take out. Good assortment of sweets as well. Best Samosas in town.

Love the sweets from this shop. The samosas are good too. Always had takeout so can't comment on the restaurant.
