Finnegan's Pub & Grill - Abbotsford

We visited this restaurant before an event and had to wait 70 minutes for nachos, followed by another hour for our mains. The food was underwhelming in taste and quality.

We were attending an event next door at the arena and decided to go early and eat here. Should have just eaten at the arena!We were showed to a table and told our waitress would be with us shortly. People who were seated 5 & 10 minutes after us were being served by a waitress, while we still waited for ours. Finally, one asked if we've been served. According to her there was confusion as to who's table we were at. Who cares? Someone should have figured it out a lot sooner than they did!We ordered a half order of nachos and a sandwich that we were going to share. When our meal finally came it was delivered by a different waitress and all she had were the nachos. I said "there is more coming, right? We also ordered a sandwich." She said "yes, I think so". Nothing ever came, our waitress was nowhere in sight for the longest time. My husband wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, saying maybe they thought we wanted the nachos as an appy. When we finally saw and were able to flag down our waitress, we asked about our sandwich (we were done with the nachos for awhile!). She disappeared into the kitchen and came back sheepishly that she messed up and never put in the order for the sandwich. She said she could put in the order for the sandwich now, but it would take a while. How long I ask? About 45 minutes. WHAT?!?!?!? I've never experienced this in other restaurants were the missing food is not put at the front of the queue.Needless to say, we didn't re-order the sandwich. The event next door wasn't going to start late so that we could wait for a sandwich!Food: Nachos were disappointing. Very little cheese and over done so that the cheese was crispy, not ooey gooey.Nothing was ever offered to compensate us for this poor service.RESULT: Will go somewhere else for dinner before going to an event at the arena.

We visited the pub for dinner before a concert next door. Though there was a line-up outside we were seated pretty quickly and served our drinks. Unfortunately things went downhill from there- we ordered our food at 6:15PM and told our server that our concert started at 7:30PM. My friends' food was served at 7:15PM and they were able to eat quickly- my seafood hotpot came at 7:30PM. I asked for a to-go box as we had to leave and I hoped to eat at the concert. No discount was given. Unfortunately the Abbotsford Center doesn't allow outside food so I had to throw out my dinner. I won't go back.

Went to Finnegan's yesterday for nachos and a drink with a friend. The nachos were very over-cooked and such minimal cheese that the toppings all rolled off. What's with that???.......don't cheap out on the cheese cause everyone knows the reason you order nachos in the first place is for the cheese!!!I have to add that the waitress was great about it. She removed the nachos from our bill. Good customer service on her part. :-)
