Centara Kata Resort Phuket

Great place to stay. Central to restaurants and bars. 10 minute walk to the beach. The resort provides a shuttle bus to the beach if you choose to. A walk away from food markets and shopping. Breakfast selection was good and fresh. Staff ware very friendly and always helpful. Would stay here again.

Nice Hotel, it has 3 pool areas, two large and one very small. If you travel with children one of the large pools has an area for children to enjoy which looked quite nice and this one has a pool bar. The pool beside our room which is in the pictures, The stone tiles are very loose at the pool so be careful if you grab on to them. This pool does be less busy which was great for our needs as giving out hot it gets it’s great to cool off in. There is no late night entertainment in the hotel or late night bar to grab a drink if you didn’t want to be out on the town. Understandable having no late entertainment with it being a family hotel. But if your a couple and wanting to have a few drinks pass 11 we found that a good few bars in that area of Kata close about 11 o clock. We were there during September, you can find bars opened further down on a stripe not too far past the night market. Make sure you have change for using the toilets on this stripe as they charge for them. The hotel room was a nice size and plain, we had view of the pool, there was daily house cleaning. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom a good size, double size wet room. Staff are very friendly. If you need anything you can ring front desk. Breakfast has a large national/international selection and you can have a omelette cooked to your liking. Just watch out for the time. It says to 10.30am but I had been there a few times and a lot of the trays would be lifted and taking away by 10.15 if your a late comer like we usually are. Sometimes they go around and let you know they are moving them away. Overall we enjoyed or stay.

This hotel has been a great stay. The staff have been overwhelming welcoming and kind to us during our stay. They are always willing to help. Especially Girt and Meaw from the dining and bar areas, they have been so lovely and accommodating and always reminding us about our daily packages. The food at the hotel restaurant has been 5 stars, beautiful fresh food, we have eaten here for most of our meals. They often have buffet meals for dinner which has been a nice touch. The only down side is that the resort is quite a walk from the beach and there is not many other safe eating restaurants close by. The resort could probably do with a slight touch up, however still functioning perfectly fine. We will likely be back.

Still staying here at the moment. First night we had three lizards in the room and lots of mosquitoes.. the person who brought the bags to the room said he would get some help but we were left waiting for half an hour before just going out. When we came back the air con was broken and leaking onto the floor. At this point I went back to reception and they put us in another room before moving us again the next day. If you looking to stay around the hotel choose another one, it's not so bad for me and my partner as we are out most of the day exploring.

We stayed in a lovely quiet area at Centara. We found the staff to be most helpful and quite often a nice young man would shuttle us to our poolside room. The dining area staff were always very attentive and after a slight mishap by myself I was extremely well cared for by Mark who administered very professional first aid. Aoy was always very bright and cheerful in the dining area each morning, Also looked to be a great resort for children with lots of pool equipment. A very enjoyable holiday resort Will defiantly return.
