Xǐ Jiǔ - 豊後大野市

We visited this restaurant around 8 PM without a reservation on our way back from playing in the river at Hino Kage. We ordered the "omakase set" and everything was really delicious. In particular, we were surprised by how delicious the "yam mazekuri" was. It was truly a dish that could not be missed. The restaurant was indeed "a cheap and delicious place, even though it's a bit dirty." We were in a tatami room where alcohol spray and alcohol wipes were provided. We felt that they were attentive to hygiene. The kindness and deliciousness of the owner, his wife, and the staff (perhaps their son?) deserve 5 stars.

"Mazekuri" is a must-try dish. They will tailor the dishes according to your budget, so I recommend trying to consult whether you prefer fish or meat as the main dish. Although you can get a seat or a room without a reservation if they are available, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance for both seating and discussing the menu.
