Bidrage med feedbackThe menu had numerous vegetarian and vegan options labeled in both Chinese and English, including non-dairy milk for coffee. Although the staff didn't speak much English, we were able to communicate by pointing at the menu. The food was good, but not outstanding.
The vegan options on the menu are clearly labeled at this restaurant. There are tasty choices such as a burger, burrito, tacos, and a salad. I tried the veggie burger, which was delicious and freshly made, and the fries were also excellent.
We arrived at the restaurant around 7pm on a Friday and found it to be very busy. A waitress kindly gave us a seat while we waited for a table to become available. We ordered the vegan burger falafel pitta with chips, along with raspberry lemonade. The burger consisted of falafel mix in a patty form, made in-house with fresh vegetables such as lettuce, onion, and tomato. The pitta bread was also good, although the falafel itself was not the best I've ever had. However, the hand-cut skin-on chips were excellent and the raspberry lemonade was tasty. The prices were reasonable as well. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned to the restaurant during our time in Kunming. On our second visit, we tried the vegan nachos which were both plentiful and delicious. We then went across the road to the Loft for pasta sandwiches to take away.
I ordered the vegan burger with a small side salad. It didn’t occur to me to say no cheese on the salad... so the salad came sprinkled in Parmesan cheese. Managed to scrape some off, but most of the salad went uneaten. So if you order salad here make sure you tell them no cheese. The burger was okay.
My friend and I really wanted a place that felt like home, and this was the place! We spent the whole day at Salvador’s, reading and indulging in the delicious vegan food! Their menus is extensive and has a lot of vegan options. I ordered a iced mint mocha with sunflower milk, a vegan green machine juice, hummus pita sandwich, and vegan burrito to go! (Yes, I was hungry and so excited for vegan food!!
