Bidrage med feedbackWhen I was an undergraduate student at SMU, I had the good fortune to study here during the May 1997 term, and it was my favorite part of my time as an SMU student. Because my wife's mother had houses in northern New Mexico, we have been able to visit periodically the last 15 years, including this past summer, to enjoy the programs offered for the public. It's always a treat to be back on campus, glad to see that even though improvements have been made, the character of the campus I fell in love with 22 years ago has remained the same, and that
A must-do if you're an SMU student. Take advantage of your time at SMU by experiencing beautiful scenery, protected environment, and local, historical cultures. The campus has more-than-adequate amenities comparable to dorm living at SMU's main campus. Year-round, you can hike and play 18 holes of disc golf. In the winter, I enjoy sledding and making giant snowballs to roll down hills. If you're into fitness, the outside is really cold, which gives you the incentive to work really hard so that you don't freeze. That's what i do; if you make a giant enough snowball, it actually takes a lot of strength, especially if you're pushing it up-hill. Then you let it fall down the hill and then roll it up the hill again like Sisyphus. You definitely won't get that kind of workout in Dallas, which is why you should go to Taos. The faculty is easy to get to know and friendly. The courses can be integrated with the local field trip experiences to local Native American Tribes and other places. Just go. It's fun.
