Bidrage med feedbackOn the second day of my trip to Hokkaido, I decided to have lunch at a cafe in Furano or Biei, and since I was in Furano at lunchtime, I decided to visit here. It was around 11:30, and there were already many cars parked, so I thought there might be a wait, but I was able to sit down easily. I was in the mood for curry, so I ordered the bacon curry with a salad. The curry had a rich flavor and was between medium and spicy, which was perfect for me! The bacon was so flavorful with each bite, and the vegetables included zucchini, eggplant, potatoes, radish, and more, providing a satisfying meal. The salad was simple, but the dressing was delicious! I wonder if it was homemade? By the way, my companion had a cold pasta, which also had the same dressing. When we left, there were many people waiting, so I recommend going before around 11:30.
Located in the middle of farmland in the south of Furano City. The menu consists of curry (vegetable, chicken ham), pot-au-feu (limited to 10 servings), and spaghetti (hot and cold). It's refreshing that they don't try to do too much. This time, I had the vegetable curry in large size and a naan on the side. The curry has a slightly spicy taste with plenty of vegetable flavor in the sauce. The salad that comes out first is very fresh. The curry is filled with vegetables such as pumpkin, onion, potato, daikon, and carrot, all of which are sweet and delicious. The only drawback is that the menu doesn't offer many options for families with young children. Also, the serving size is large due to their farm standards. The regular size is equivalent to a typical large serving, so it can be quite overwhelming if you opt for the large size.
We arrived at the restaurant a little late on our way back from Farm Tomita. After writing our names and number of people on the list, we waited in the front yard for a while. During the wait, we were soothed by the gentle breeze, the sound of birds, and the faint scent of lavender coming from the nearby lavender field. The limited quantity pot-au-feu was already sold out, so we opted for the curry with homemade bacon and plenty of vegetables. The curry was slightly sweet and the vegetables were delicious. We were very satisfied as we wanted to try local seasonal vegetables. The bacon had just the right amount of saltiness and flavor, so we were glad we chose the bacon option. In the second floor seating area, you can enjoy a leisurely meal while overlooking the lavender fields through the windows. The style of serving where you go to pick up your dishes yourself and then return them may be a bit challenging for those with mobility issues on the second floor, so it may be a good idea to confirm this when writing your name on the list. I also ordered iced coffee, so I nervously climbed the stairs. I would love to come back during lavender season.
