Bluff Beach Retreat - Isla Colon Panama

For us, this restaurant was the beginning of our journey. The atmosphere was fantastic. They have a baby orphan sloth that they take care of, which is incredibly adorable.

There is not much to add about this 5-star restaurant. The location is fantastic, with a beautiful beach. The rooms are great, very clean, and the management is pleasant, caring, and thoughtful. Karen and Steve are always available and responsive to any questions. The only issue to mention is a generator that can be heard at times, causing a low but constant hum, mainly during the day. Despite this small inconvenience, we found this to be the most beautiful, pleasant, and relaxing place we stayed at during our 21-day Costa Rica and Panama tour. We would be happy to stay here again.

We absolutely loved the rainforest location of this restaurant. The breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of wildlife. Karen and Steve were amazing hosts and went above and beyond to make our visit special. We had a great time exploring the property on bikes, especially with the child seat for our 2-year-old son. Despite some closures due to covid-19, there were still plenty of dining options and tours available. The lack of air conditioning was a concern at first, but the fan and open windows (with optional screens) created a cool breeze at night. We even enjoyed the soothing sounds of the ocean waves and animals outside. Definitely worth the trip!

A fantastically beautiful and relaxing experience. Our hosts, the staff and the entire estate were all top-notch. The gorgeous architecture of the inn, the custom lap pool and surrounding pool deck made for a perfect stay. Our room, with a walk-in closet, and the en-suite bath were both huge and spotless. Almost any activity can be arranged through them, and there are at least 3-4 good restaurants within a very short walk. You can't go wrong staying here.
