From Zavattarello, we are advised to have lunch. Once the outside does not invoke, but by experience I ate in places to which from outside you would not give a lire and instead once inside......... Unfortunately this is not the case: the local seems firm in the '60s, does not have a minimum of appeal, and is quite sad. The service is non-existent and is limited to the demand for drinks and the menu list, which at lunch offers three first and three seconds that objectively unavoidably, but by now we are there. We choose braised feathers confiding in the magic of a sauce that if well done could exalt the dish, and instead nothing......the sauce is quite slaved, does not have that beautiful color of a bodied braised, and in fact the taste is less than delicate. Sweet? Only one, a slice of tart that is not even evil. Only positive note, an account that even a fast food could be lower. What to say: I don't know if the evening or Sunday the local turns and becomes a gourmet trattoria, of course this lunch will not end between the 10 to remember. Too bad.
We were looking for an informal place for a quick meal but at the same time based on genuine products. All the farms in the area were already booked. Guided by positive reviews we called to check availability (2 adults and a 3 year old child. Typical country-landed trattoria, one of those places where you would never enter by relying only on the eye. Menù? Non-existent, choice between 4 first, 3 seconds and 3 contours (which change from day to day depending on what they have in the kitchen. How did we find ourselves?...a little like when you go to lunch by grandparents, in all senses (the good ones. Zero formality, attention to detail unknown. Portions? Avoid diet. Quality? The real strong point: practically everything done in the house (can seem trivial and discounted but also the tomato paste knows fresh tomato...as from the grandmother! . And while you eat, you hear from the kitchen how they beat meat. Chicken, pork and beef... everything is great and cooked in the simplest way. And if after first, second and contour, you still have some space, you might have the luck to taste their tart (in fact, excuse me if I repeat: the granny tart strictly ugly but exquisite. Coffee? Of course they bring you that too. We get to the account: never eaten (in Lombardy so well spending so little. The menu is as fixed as the price and includes everything described above....Being Milan I am accustomed to paying 8 euros for a daisy and 5 euros for a plug (if you are lucky an average ... to the ancient trattoria is precisely this the account per person: 13 euros....I moved. Arrived by chance during a trip, excellent sliced Dell appetizer, especially salami, also excellent tagliatelle with mushrooms, abundant portions, absolutely recommended
Spartan place, first thought excellent, generous portions. When I step there in motion I will definitely stop for a fourth time.
