Mama Mia - Zanzibar

Not too impressed by the pizzas here. They were okay, but definitely the napoletana was too basic, I would not recommend it I also tried the lasagna, and to my surprise it did not taste very good; it was too dry with no bechamel sauce, and no muscade which I think are must ingredients in lasagna. Overall, this restaurant is quite average. I had better food in the near by restaurant Baraka, there you get bigger portions, fresher food and lower prices. PS: Tiramusu was very good though. The view is definitely nicer here compared to Baraka.

We came as 4 people. Food was a real delikates. One of the best i ever eaten. Had their most expensive soup and it was like a best massage for my tongue and stomach. Same goes for the other food we had. Whole place was nice and comfortable. View at the sea was not that great because of a low tide and a mess on the beach. Surroundings around restaurant was also mostly mess and dirt but i side the restaurant was everything clean and perfect. Girls i mean waiters were nice but waiting almost one hour for meal for 4 people wasnt that great. But as often people hear for good things its worth waiting this was really worth even the 130eur bill. Would reccomemd anyone to try. Definitely. And feel free to start with their most expensive soup.

My husband and I love this place. We found it our last 2 days in Nungwi and ate there for dinner, then lunch and dinner the next day. I had lobster both days, which were amazing. My husband had a pizza and 2 different pasta dinners! All were great food with a nice atmosphere. Best drinks in Zanzibar! Huge shout out to our bartender who was fun to chat with in addition to being a great bartender. Dining room overlooks the beach to boot!

We went to this place first for ice cream late in the day (just delicious and after for our last lunch before traveling back... we had amazing pizzas, South Africa wine and delicious desserts!!! Not only the food is delicious as the view over the beach gives the perfect environment for a good meal. Staff super friendly as the owner too!!! Would recommend and go there on my next visit for sure!!!

Authentic Italian pizza Food and atmosphere are amazing. Service was good and we got our food fairly quick. To top things off, we had gelato which was great.
