Wooffles & Cream - York

Sooooooo delicious! Prob the best Hong Kong waffle I’ve tried and the ice cream was sooooo creamy. Had the skor and chocolate chip waffle with vanilla earl grey twist ice cream. The only thing I would add would be some real fruit toppings like strawberry, blueberry, banana... etc. That would take things to ANOTHER level. Owners if you’re reading this.... please please add fresh fruit as an option, thank me later :

Make sure to order the Extra Crispy waffles at Woofles and Cream! I never used to enjoy the Hong Kong style egg waffles until I tried them here. The key is to ask for them extra crispy. Somehow, the batter is light and airy, yet sturdy enough to hold toppings like black sesame seeds, peanuts, coconut, and even savory options. My favorite is the black sesame waffle with black sesame soft serve. I can't get enough of this place. Although slightly pricey, it's worth it for me because I am particular about my waffles. They are consistently good here, so don't forget to request the Extra Crispy waffles!

The cookies and cream waffle was certainly different, with noticeable chunks of Oreo cookie in each bite. However, I would have preferred the waffle to be less crispy and more fluffy, similar to a traditional Hong Kong-style waffle. The ice cream was underwhelming, particularly the Matcha flavor which could have been more intense in taste.

I only had the soft serve here so I didn't have to wait long for my order. I had the matcha soft serve. It had a light matcha flavour and was sweet. I was expecting a stronger matcha flavour though. The soft serve did hold up pretty well and did not melt quickly so that was good.

I have been occupied with other stuff like (finally) watching Descendants of the Sun – which I absolutely fell in love with!! Also watched a couple of other tv series like Sherlock Holmes, Grey’s Anatomy (again for the 999th time), have been reading books, doing errands, etc. More on what I’ve been doing here!
