Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant offers a good lunch menu featuring dim sum, fried noodles, and traditional Chinese BBQ dishes. The food is average, but the atmosphere is not too busy or annoying, making it a great spot for dinner gatherings. The restaurant mainly offers mahjong tables for games and dinner.
We had 11 adults plus 4 children pressed around a table. Ordered winter melon soup in advance, which tasted well. Other dishes were a la carte, including mushroom beef, fish fillet with snow peas, shrimps, scallops squid with snow peas, all good, roast chicken,...sweet acidic pigs and beef noodles so-so, but BBQ ribs very good. Dessert was red bean soup, lotus pastes and cookies/Pudding. Works at about $30/person, slightly higher than average. All right.
After the renovations, I have to admit that the prices are a bit steep, but the restaurant continues to be crowded for a reason - their dim sum is excellent. We paid $80 for two people, without alcohol.
We visited this restaurant last night and also on September 19 with my oldest sister from the USA. Very bad feeling, bad taste of food, bad service, full difference from all previous experiences. We ordered the lobster shell with three others. Restaurant offers soup, sweet... dessert and a small dish of BBQ pork and roasted duck for free. BBQ pork, malted duck are O.K. soup, sweet desert, all other 3 dishes are all bad and with heavy MSG. Lobster dish terrible bad, we suspect that the restaurant again from the previous bad order. The lobster is not the fresh ones they show us. $26.99 per lb. It's 1.9 lbs that's gonna cost us $51.28. The lobster is not fresh, cold, tasteless, not 1.9 lbs. We try to return the court, but restaurant refuses return, refund, still replace. Very, very unhappy, especially my 85-year-old mother. The restaurant cheats on us and the seniors. This court is totally unhealthy and terrible. The restaurant is never visited again.
I normally enjoy authentic Chinese food. So when I drove by and saw the outdoor sign, I thought great! I'll go there for lunch. The inside is very nicely decorated with nice table cloth and flat wear. The staff, true to their typically chinese personalities,...have litte or no warmth. The really hard thing they need to address is there menu. It is the hardest thing to understand. Not user friendly and I ended up ordering a few things I would not have ordered. They really need to address this. Worst menu presentation I've ever seen. The wonton soup was delicious. I had some dumplings and two other dishes which I tasted and did not finish. Terrible. Also when they bring you the dishes, they just drop it off on the table and leave. No explanation or comments. It was also expensive. Only afterwards was I shown the lunch menu. Seems to me that should have been the first menu you present at lunch time. So, bottom line: They need to fix the menu so average non-asian first time customers will not feel lost or intimidated and get more customer service training. I will not be going back for sure.
