The Windmill Inn - York

This is a Greene King pub you can view their allergen menu free on the app, and they will be happy to bring the allergen guide out or talk you through the meals (e.g if you are gluten sensitive they can remove the naan from your curry meal) They definitely have a few options but the options aren’t expansive, they do offer relatively cheap and easy grub though!

Great food, drinks and service. Highly recommend the Whitley Neill Rhubarb Ginger and the Bombay Bramble. Drinks made immediately at the bar and food came out quickly. Ate at 14:00 and had no issues with food taking too long to come out.

Went on a Monday night. You would think on a quiet night you would get quick good food... No! We had the Chicken Pie, Pork Belly and Lasagne. The first two were overcooked and dry and the Pie and Lasagne were burnt. They took ages to come out. Mashed Potato was adverstised on the menu but apparently they were out. However the meals were a good size for the price listed.

Food was good. Price was good. Lots of TV's for sports. Took a while for the food to come, so were given a full refund. Can't complain with that. Would still come again.

Family day out 4 adults and 2 kids all hungry half the meals were cold sent back came back 5 mins later they just refried the chips and sent meal back out
