Muddy Rudder - Yarmouth

Muddy Rudder is a nice place to eat but it's not what I consider to be a top of the line restaurant. The **** dip was too salty and the lobster bisque just seemed to lack a bit of flavor. My wife had the Seafood Cake sandwich. It was very good but she wishes she had simply ordered the Seafood Cake appetizer because the bun seemed to detract from the seafood cake itself. I had the Seafood Stuffed Haddock and that was very good. We sat on the deck for dinner. It was very pleasant as the deck is in the shadow of the building at that point so you don't have the sun beating on you and the view overlooks water. Very nice ambiance.

We were able to get a “day of” reservation for a Saturday night in late June. An “add on”shrimp dish was undercooked and returned but we were not charged for the item. The manager came out and apologized. Otherwise food was good and reasonably priced.

Picturesque location and well thought-out menu. Service was just right and my prime rib special available only on Friday and Saturday was perfect. Do try for a table out on the deck or inside along the windows.

Great food, atmosphere and service! Had the seafood scampi and the salad with lobster... both excellent and reasonably priced. Great views too!

Stopped here for a great quick lunch. The menu was excellent. There were several unique options. All the food was great. There are great views from everywhere inside the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Overall it was a great dining experience and we will definitely be back. The little gift shop was also a nice feature.
