River's Edge - Yankton

Great food and service. Patio is amazing on a warm summer evening to watch the sunsets!

On our recent visit to South Dakota, we went to diner at River’s Edge, a place our friends that live in Yankton suggested. We went as a group of 7 with a reservation, for 7:00 PM. Do to it being an old friends get together, we actually arrived 20 minutes late, and our table was understandably given to another party of 6. The hostess apologized (not her fault, ours) and tried to get a table, starting as a table for 4, which adjusted to a table for the 7 of us before our food order was taken. The food was amazing! My first time having Lobster Mac N Cheese. It was awesome, the waitress was very pleasant, and even took SEVERAL pictures for us. If we lived in SD, I could see us eating there often, as our friends that live in Yankton do.

Service and food was wonderful!Staff was very friendly and nice to talk to, and the food was so good I forgot to take pictures! I got a picture of the salad but everything else was devoured.Anyways, I got the Smokehouse burger with a side of salad and it was wonderful. Flavorful and did not disappoint at all.My mom got the Garlic Tuscan Chicken and said it was amazing! Very fresh and clean tasting while still being flavorful. It looked really good too.We both shared the Whisky Bread Pudding and everything about it was delicious too. Wonderfully soft and, dare I say, moist. Not too sweet and the ice cream really completed it.I highly recommend this restaurant to people looking for somewhere to eat!

Horrible and soggy food. I wanted to try something new since I am new to town and I was highly disappointed.

River’s Edge is a restaurant that always provides excellent food, top-notch service, and the best overall atmosphere in the Yankton area. We always recommend it to people visiting the area because of the great experience we have each time dining. They have a spacious outdoor area and great variety on their menu. I’d give six stars if I could!
