Karrikin - YAMBA

An astonishingly wonderful restaurant in Yamba. Gorgeous local ingredients, lovely wine list with lots of low intervention and natural wines, wide range of delectable local gins and spirits and cocktails. Fantastic service. Great music and vibes. Four course set menu snack, entree, main, dessert. We also ordered the sourdough with macadamia butter. They catered for our fussy 11 yo with fancy chicken nuggets and chips, which was much appreciated. Our two teens devoured all their meals. A wonderful experience to have in Yamba. Highly recommend. The four course meal was more than sufficient for dinner I disagree completely with some reviews saying the portion size was small, as the servings were entirely appropriate for a set course menu. We left very satisfied. Lots of happy customers expressing their thanks to the chef and staff as they finished their evening. You’d be lucky to find this calibre of restaurant in Sydney or Brisbane, and it is a real gem in Yamba.

4.5 Only downside being small servings for set menu proportions. On the contrary, the food was delicious with the Mango-infused Prawns being the hot seller from our big party, followed closely by the Kingfish with a side of a unique/tasty Cabbage. An array of beers and drinks to choose from; the best gin and tonic! Efficient service and lovely outdoor setting.

Always a treat to be fed by Karrikin. Delicious range of drinks to choose from. Love that local produce is used to create an ever changing and creative menu. This was our meal from taste teaser with added bread-dessert, the bread with macadamia butter (although extra) is a scrumptious must for us to feel full and satisfied.

We attended this restaurant as it was recommended to us and we were completely blown away by the food. The meals were well thought out, well balanced and totally delicious. The staff were all sweet, knowledgeable and attentive. Our only regret is that we booked towards the end of our visit to Yamba so we were unable to go back again another night. Try the Macadamia Butter Martini! Holy smokes.

Karrikin is amazing!! My partner and I visit every time we’re in Yamba. We love the vibes, beautiful natural wines, authentic service and outstanding food. The set menu using only local in season ingredients is always a good time, for any diet. They go above and beyond I even left my jacket there and they posted in back to me in Melbourne. Incredible place and value for the experience. Highly recommend.
