Bidrage med feedbackA unique experience, an exquisite place that breaks with traditional restaurants. It is worth living the experience. the owner and his team are 10. I recommend it to 100
Located in the mountains with fantastic artefacts collected by an antique dealer way back. Great staff, food, organic wine in an exeptional environment. A must for a memory for life
If you like a unique experience you have to go there. The food was good, with fresh, local produce. Staff was really friendly. We also got a tour in and around the museum. Beforehand I thought it was a bit expensive, but considering the fact that the wine is included, the 6 course meal and the time you spend in a nice environment, it is not.
Part antique warehouse, part museum of the rural life of past centuries, part weekend lunch club with wonderful entertainment. Maserof is completely unique. Carolina is full of high voltage energy and life, although the cluster of buildings that constitute Maserof does not have any electricity. This is history, brought to life with wine, food and Carolina 's cabaret. The food comes to the table on beautiful battalions of mismatched china, wonderfully presented, made from the freshest seasonal produce and delicious. Wine flows, from the bodega 's own vintages. Before lunch you will have a chance to see where the wine has been pressed (and at the right time in the early autumn you may even have a chance to help press it! . The kitchen is historic candle lit and full of antique artefacts, it is much loved, well cleaned and remarkably efficient for such a small, dark space. After lunch, on full stomachs and with well lubricated voices, guests are invited to sing a song from their homeland. As a Russian family announced, before murdering a folk song with great mirth and enjoyment, 'we normally drink a lot of vodka before singing this song! ' This is a 360 degree experience. The setting is amazing, perched on the edge of a very agricultural valley among the harsh mountains, it is a beautiful place to be. The food is delightful, rustic, very well presented and full of flavour. And the atmosphere is vibrant. Carolina has help in the kitchen and with service, which is very well delivered. She also sings she was born of an English father and Spanish mother and she was born to perform, in particular to sing with a rich voice that is both melodic and gravelly, a vocal ambassador for the 'gitana ' culture of the region. If you want The Ritz then go The Ritz but if you want to let your hair down, taste history, be more than a little bit spoilt at the table and be richly entertained then forget The Ritz and go to Carolina 's Bodega Maserof. And please remember, while The Ritz might be sophisticated and take credit cards, Carolina takes cash!
Wonderful location and the Flamenco singer/dancer was entertaining. However, I didn't appreciate the pushy owner trying to make us sing into her microphone. This is a good restaurant if you enjoy audience participation and lots of noise, but not recommended if you want to be left alone to eat your lunch. The food was very average for the price.
