Hickory House Bbq - Wytheville

Have been wanting to try their Pork Barbecue. Finally stopped in and took home a pound of their fresh pulled pork. It was delicious.service was great AND I will be going back for more!

I'm done with Hickory House... what kind of establishment looks the other way when one if its employees sets 6 puppies outside in 90+ degree weather with no water and no shade, stuffed inside a metal crate. Shame on any and all of you that knew and did nothing.

Food was cold. Not sure if it's cooked fresh on sight. Could not smell good cooking inside or outside of restaurant.

We were passing through on our way to Georgia. We stopped at Hickory House for lunch. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my wife had the brisket plate. The pulled pork was excellent and the brisket just melted in your mouth. I wish I lived close to Wytheville because I would eat there all the time.Kid-friendliness: I saw families in there and the owner was right at home talking with them.Parking: I would say that there is at least 25 spots.Wheelchair accessibility: The building used to be a gas station. The entrance is in one of the old bays, so you walk right into the building.

Food was great. Service was quick and friendly. We are a family of 4 who got the $25 family pack. It was plenty of food and we each got our own individual sides.Worth the price. I read so many negative reviews and was skeptical but glad we gave it a chance!
