Bidrage med feedbackThe owner of this restaurant changed. And what should we say? Just fantastic. In a rustic atmosphere on the Rhine road you sit outside or inside. And the food is excellent. Like a Thai kitchen in the middle of Bangkok. Especially recommended: The excellent Somtam salad. A papaya salad with shrimp, peanuts, beans, etc. Simply fantastic. Absolutely recommended!!!
We have been visiting this Thai snack for many years, sometimes at least 1 times a week, although we live 20 km away. We're very Thai Cusine affin. The food was originally good, authentic and lovingly prepared. But in the last few months, quality has suffered quite significantly. The dishes are no longer authentic, coarsely cut prepared, the sauces thin and pommes instead of potatoes we also found in the dishes. The Yam Nüa Yang Salat really had like other beef dishes tough meat. Onion coarsely cut, you can find it as well as at Plah Nam Tok. Today we ordered two ducks. The flesh was pink, tasted as if it had been puked. Half the meat was pure fat. This, very friendly, showed it to the cook/owner. This lumped in the kitchen, could not be seen, didn't tell us. He murmured from another supplier, but without showing us. Bad behavior! And now both of us are very uncomfortable. Belly and headaches. Ade Rüan Thai! Never again!
We ordered yesterday as Take Away Som Tam (No. 028), the Matsaman Curry with Rind (No. 047) and the red curry with roasted chicken breast (No. 053). Pros: The salad was not a mosquito with turquoise carrots, but was authentically prepared with immature papaya. Although drowned in sauce, tastefully but as one knows it... Cons: The Matsaman Curry was unfortunately too thin and had little taste. I cannot confirm the pommes already mentioned here. Potatoes are only cut like Pommes Frites. Beef was very tough and of low quality. The red curry had cut off the worst. You can talk about Curry. The sauce was so thin that you could not even taste the taste of coconut milk. The crispy chicken meat was pre-cooked, very tough and anything but crispy, easy to eat. With a total of €28, for these three dishes I find the return absolutely unacceptable. All in all, I cannot recommend this Thai snack at all. Even if the dishes mentioned here were half cheaper.
It is a very small Thai snack. Tastefully quite well but not sitting outside, as there are really many cars passing the street.
As an appetizer there was a huge portion of chicken spear with peanut sauce. Tastefully good but at a price of 3.50€ you will find the quality question here. The beef salad was unfortunately inedible and consisted almost only of tough meat and coarse onion pieces. Besides, the table was very dirty. Give 3 instead of 2 stars because I think you might have a bad day.
