Large eating cheap trips in a beautiful building with large service

I ate on Valentine's Day in the restaurant, while an event took place in the theatre. the service was excellent during the meal and was very personal. there were elements on the menu that were not available (steak bites) and my escape was a bit cool, without doubt because of the event. while the meal was not terrible and the server were great, I would not go back to the restaurant. there are so many really good places to go that if a place is mediocre, I just can't be disturbed.

My man had steak and praised and he said it was okay. he said that he was disappointed because the steak was thin cuts (like a fast frit) and the lobster seemed to be doing something under. I had the short rib bourginon and I usually command not red meat, but I thought it sounds good, and it was really good! my man also had the best old fashioned he had (hand made by the waiter), and we shared a piece of chocolate peanut butter cheesecake for which was to die! our waiter was fantastic and the ambiente is beautiful. next time I want to dinner and come back to a movie because that looked super fun.

The restaurant is beautiful that they have preserved the beautiful vintage feeling and decor from the old metropolitan theatre. eating was pretty good. I had a frying sandwich and pommes and my companion had the montreal smoked meat sandwich with bothwell cheddar suppe. we ordered the lounge menu because the lounge was closed for a private event, so that both the lounge menu and the fine dining menu were available in the dining room. we were however a table of 6 and the determination was that the whole table had to order from any background from the same menu. even if the rest of our party wanted to dispose of the fine menu, they were not allowed to do that, but they were happy to see what they ordered anyway. the service was slow, we were on time for our reservation at 545, but we did not get our food until 655. we attended a event at the theater around 730, so we felt quite eager to finish our eating and come to our sitting.

Went for lunch on a Friday. Quiet atmosphere and easy to visit with friends. Service was attentive but server knew we weren’t in a rush so we had plenty of time to enjoy our food. Great ambience in the dining room.
