Bidrage med feedbackI wanted to check out this restaurant cause their food menu looked delicious.....Didn't even get a chance to try their water...My friends and I went there during the week, there was a small paint night event happening in the restaurant area so we went into the bar to order food and drinks, there were about maybe 15 people in the bar....it took the server 10 minutes just to come over to our table to give us menu's...he forgot the drink menu, we didn't get water, and then they never came back to our table. We waited and waited and waited but decided to leave and go to BP's across the street instead...the service was great and the food was better.Never going back to Brick and Whiskey again.
We had visited once before and the food was fine, but the ambiance made us question whether we would return. We thought it was in the process of opening too early and that the decor would improve. It didn't. This time so many things on the menu were not available, including shrimp and chicken and several apps. So we settled on the pizza and beer deal which sounded good for $25.. We ordered a couple of extra toppings for the large pizza. The thin crust was like cardboard, but what skimpy toppings... none at all on the outside inch. No tomato sauce and the cheese was almost non=existent. The beer jug was good for 4 glasses. That was fine. Beware. We made the mistake of ordering 1 pizza to go right at the beginning, not realizing how poor it would be. The waiter did not tell us there would be a $3 "to go" charge. We used a groupon this time, but it was one of our worst dining experiences.
First time visiting the restaurant, as we were there for paint nite. The immediate impression of the place was that it was dumpy - it's called Brick & Whiskey, but there is absolutely no actual brick in there, haha. We thought it was a new bar/restaurant but it felt very unkempt and beaten up. We ordered the cheese sampler appetizer to start, but were told they were out of it. Looked at the daily drink special and were told those weren't valid now which is why they were "covering it up in the menu" (server's quote). We settled on a chicken burger and chicken fingers, both with fries. Fries were thick cut and tasty and the burger/fingers were both just ok. Though the restaurant was not even half full, it took 10 minutes for someone to come take our order, and another 35 minutes to get our food however, so it left us 10 minutes to eat before we had to go to our event. The chef was the one to bring out our food, even though there were 4 waitresses working, but not moving with any urgency or even interest. Server was pleasant but distracted and we weren't offered refills until we asked for the bill. Overall wouldn't go back again - it felt dirty and dumpy, the food was mediocre and service was disappointing with way too long a wait for items that were going in the fryer. Would suggest that if the restaurant is going to host public events like paint nite, they should prep the staff to work with urgency and make sure to be fully stocked on menu items, as it's likely this will bring in a lot of new potential customers. We would not return here, even for paint nite.
After reading several not-so-nice reviews about this restaurant we decided to try it out. I is a very large space with seating all around the outer edges. Pool tables and a stage occupy the middle. My daughter had a very tasty hamburger and I had chicken strips. Both meals were cooked well and delivered hot and in a timely manner. The fries were also good. The food was obviously cooked from fresh rather than frozen.Wait staff, Kevin and Shannalynn were both very attentive and very pleasant. This restaurant also has a large room for group events.
First of all business schedule changed from April 04, 2016... only open door from 3 PM on Sundays, so have to wait for an hour when we arrived at 2 PM!It is a big place, both bar and restaurant sides. But only one waiter for the first hour.Taste of food is okay, but expensive for that portion of an order, like about $10 for 1 lb of wings that's pretty dry, and only 9 small pieces!
