Bidrage med feedbackI absolutely love this place, it feels like home!! I grew up in Chicago and my abuela would make a lot of this food so it’s definitely my comfort food. I would highly recommend the Pollo Guisado.Food: 5/5
Was very disappointed. The wait was awful, service was poor and the food wasn't very good. The waitress would always run off after the first thing I requested and never let me finish ordering. I was going to get 3 appetizers but I was only allowed to order one because she ran off. Frequently all 3-4 of the waitresses would completely disappear and even tables around me were getting very roudy from this. The shrimp I had was overcooked and rubbery, and was hardly cleaned with many still having legs attached. The pork my SO ordered was very dry. Then after the bill finally got dropped off we waited another 20 minutes just for a waitress to come and grab our card so we could pay. A whole family of 5 came in after us, and left before us, even they complained about the wait but with how much longer we had been there we just wanted a waitress to come and let us pay so we could leave. I will not be coming back.
I have been wanting to try this place for a while because it’s in my neighborhood and I’ve never tried Puerto Rican food before. After reading some great reviews about their Real Cubano sandwich, I ordered it for dinner with fries. I was very disappointed. I don’t know what I was expecting but I guess I was hoping it would be similar to Mexican food. I found the sandwich to be very bland and without any flavor. I don’t think the pork had any spices or seasoning on it. I love spicy food; not necessarily as in hot, but meaning it is seasoned with spices. I couldn’t detect any seasoning in the sandwich. I don’t know if this is true of all Puerto Rican cooking, but this experience makes me not want to come back here and try their other dishes. If you don’t like spicy food, you may enjoy their food. I don’t think I will be back.
Quite possibly the best fried chicken I've ever had (I think it was called Chicharon de Pollo). So good, and such friendly and welcome staff. We just moved to the area and I already feel at home here.
Food was pretty good, but service was bad. Server was very young and seemed to be either untrained or too afraid to afraid to be a server.
