Mcdonald's - Whitchurch-Stouffville

Back in August, a friend let me know that Maui, the pineapple Squishmallow, was available at this McDonald's in Stouffville. The eatery is located inside Walmart.Maui was one of the more difficult Squishmallows to collect. Luckily, hitting Stouffville wasn't far for me, so I hopped in my car almost immediately and headed north.There is always lots of parking in front of this Walmart. I was here on a Saturday afternoon. I had no problem finding a spot to park.The McDonald's is easy to spot. It's in front of the checkout area, near the entrance. There are places to sit down and eat.As far as the menu goes, it has almost everything you'd expect from a McD's, except for specialty McCafe drinks. Regular coffee and teas are offered here. If you are dying for fancier drinks, you may want to check out the McD's on Main Street, which is roughly a two-minute drive from here.There was a bit of a lineup. The wait wasn't long. When it was my turn, I ordered a four-piece chicken McNuggets happy meal. I got fries, a bottled water, and strawberry yogurt.There was a wait for orders. While I was waiting, minding my own business, a black woman was also waiting, but looking at me. She did the full-body scan of me, from my sandals all the way up to my face.I found that rude. With staring problems, I am actually comfortable dishing it right back at folks. So, I did the same thing. I started with her shoes and worked my way to her face, with the end result showing my WTF expression on my face staring right back at her.The woman came over. She apologized. She basically explained that she loved my sandals and was about to travel to Italy. She wanted a pair like mine.I was relieved. I thought that she was looking at me funny because I was an an adult getting a happy meal for myself... haha!I let her know that I got my Sketchers sandals from an outlet store in Ottawa. However, I was sure that you could get them closer to the GTA. I knew that I loved them the minute I wore them in the store. It was to the point where I bought the same style, but in two different colours.I asked where she was going in Italy. She was doing a tour, taking her to Naples and Rome. I wished her a wonderful trip.My order was called. I wished her a great day. She reciprocated. I fetched my food, thanked the woman, and left.I had Maui. Woo hoo!I ate my food in my car. I love chicken McNuggets. I don't have them often, but they are perfect with sweet and sour sauce.The small fries were yummy. I find that portion control is excellent when you get a happy meal. You get a tube of strawberry yogurt, which was satisfying. I drank my chilled Dasani water on a hot summery day.It was my first visit to this McDonald's. I wasn't expecting a footwear discussion. Let's hope that I don't experience another one with quite the stare when I'm back here.(393)

Food was made to order. Unfortunately I had to reassemble my Filet-o-fish. The bottom bun was only half way under the rest of it. And the sauce was running down one side and there wasn't any on the other side. Good thing they gave plenty of napkins.Front staff were quick.

Get rid of the computerized ordering system. It stinks and adds to the wait time. Also, there is usually no one on the cash to serve instore customers. You have created a mess trying to save a few bucks. Bad move.

Staff is polite but needs basic training. Kitchen staff is handling food with long hair hanging above the food they are preparing.I don’t think I will order from this McDonalds again. Date visited: Jan 13 at 9:30 AM.
