We visited this unassuming cafe on the waterfront at the magical Ludworth Cove. Small but perfectly formed seafood menu, so we all got something different, and each of my party of four were blown away with the freshness and flavour of what was delivered....but I came out triumphant with, and I not given to hyperbole) the best fish chowder that I have had in the uk. Creamy silky, generous amounts of smoked haddock; baby squid and prwans, and four slices of fresh bread.By time I finished eating the chowder savouring each mouthful, I knew that although although live many miles away, I would be travelling back to this place in the future just to have this fish chowder. I kid you not this is the first time I have been given to write a review for any restaurant cafe eatery of any kind but it was that good I felt compelled to show my appreciation by writing a review.
This is a great little place to get freshly cooked eating directly on the bay. the personal was friendly and welcoming. they can order food to take away or eat. there is a small amount of table in and outside. they are a great choice of cold and hot drinks. the payment is both cash and card. I had one of the specials speck, brie and cranberry panini. this had softly cooked speck and the charges of braut and cranberry served with a side salad. in any case stop somewhere when they visit the bay
Charming old boat shed transformed into a café right by the water in Lulworth Bay. They offer a fantastic selection of fresh, straightforward seafood on their terrace, complete with lovely views of the bay. The atmosphere is friendly, and the prices are great. Many thanks!
The menu options are limited, but the quality is outstanding. Everything they prepared was cooked to perfection. The dishes have a personal touch and are not overly reliant on sauce packets. It’s definitely worth a visit.
