I really enjoyed having a nice pint in this pub ..it's well worth the visit the staff are friendly and the bangers and mash were amazing . I would definitely go again just for the friendly bar staff and the atmosphere

When you enter this restaurant, you can't help but feel like you're an inconvenience. There is no sense of hospitality, just a transactional experience where your money is taken without any service to speak of. The staff wears a grim expression as they accept your payment for a few drinks. The atmosphere is so unwelcoming that even the local cemetery has a better vibe. It's truly astonishing.

Popped in here for a pint and some lunch. Nice cosy feel, lovely to find a pub unspoilt by modern renovation and still retaining it 's original features. Looks like they have lots on with a free bangers and mash night, a Thai night, and a quiz night. The menu wasn 't very extensive cod or chicken goujons of some kind or other and chips, and I think squid rings, but it was fine and did the job! Will definitely be going back as soon as possible.

We came here with friends after visiting Hatfield House. It is a wonderful old, traditional pub with no pretences. The landlady and staff are very welcoming and helpful. They have a good, and apparently ever changing number of draft beers, and a good selection of quality pub food which is reasonably priced. If we lived near here, this would definitely be our local .
