Route 19 Cafe - Waterloo

A meal is a complete meal with a scoop of ice cream for dessert, and all of them are under $20. The soup was ch8cken noodles and it was so good I got a bowl to go. It was a very hearty broth with very thin noodles that looked home made. Waitress was great. Service was very good. My mom loved how much she had for leftovers and said she would eat there 7 days a week. She had the chicken with mushrooms onions and pepper covered In cheese.

Friday fish fry is good, a dill flavored tartersauce would make it great! Breakfast is good. The omelets are bland. Maybe a different kind of cooking oil or butter. would bring out more flavor. I love supporting my hometown businesses. I'll admit, I have high expectations when it comes to restaurant food. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast

Great little community-oriented place to eat. Owners came to America with a desire to have a successful restaurant like they had overseas. They put a lot of money into remodeling and other improvements. Then Covid hit.... But they hung in there and succeeded after much hard work and sacrifice. They are really good people. My daughter and my son were sharing an apartment, and the cafe owners were their neighbors. It was nice getting know them some.
