Tavern - Waterford

Brilliant pub...authentic...excellent staff and friendly local atmosphere.

The tavern is a nicely maintained premises. The service was good. The only thing that I did not like was the coolers behind the bar had no lights on .This is a personal dislike but I feel it is legitimate observation

Always a warm welcome and a cosy retreat on a cold day. Tosh always has the stove going

One of the others in my party has already given a detailed review. I would add, they will not waste their time or money!

Last night we had booked a table for 8 o'clock when we arrived, the table was not ready and we were asked to wait at the bar and have a drink. after a bed we were asked to walk away from the bar and give a small table for 4 to sit temporarily while we wait for our table until 7 are sorted. we are at the table at 9:30, an hour and half an hour too late. When we had set ourselves, we were repented, but the kitchen was closed. unbelievable, and top 1 of the group, while the ordering a pint of stout saw a barmann top an old pint of stout and give it to him when he confronted him, he said sad and continued to fill a fresh pint while the bad pint leaves through the hahn. no doubt someone else got it in the evening. I will not be back. when we talked to the manager, he tried to make the pandemic a pretext for them, to be busy and not in the position to control things, maybe they need new management and staff. some of the behaviors I experienced last night have been warned to me and my fraction right before this once beautiful place.
