Marvin - Washington

I took my parents who are usually very selective what they eat in this restaurant. all were smiling and rejoiced about their meal. it was delicious. I would recommend it to everyone and will return!

This place has changed. Friday, 11 august 2017. it was the last day of a trip that I could 'd my 13-year-old daughter on us 'd explored all dc we could manage in five days and after having been in marvin a few years ago, I thought we'd celebrate our trip over a beautiful dinner at a place I knew to be good. there were two uncommon hostesses to make us great. they looked at us and literally turned us back to share a private word. I thought it was a bit unpleasant, but whatever. we sat and the hostess/cheeksin came back a moment later to ask for a beverage order. in the course of three minutes she returned with my beer and asked if we were ready to order. Oh, that's never a good sign. we stayed in the restaurant for some minutes at this time hardly time to take the place to look over the menu to chat nothing about our week. also the insatiable waitress also has some suggestions, recommendations, helpful comments. she didn't imagine or ask how we were. absolutely nothing. we wanted more time to review the menu. She finally came back and stood behind me to take our order (my return to the mural facing the mirror) there was space next to us! why she should not stand where she could talk to us more easily. So I turned into my chair to see her and place our order. eating was good, but not spectacular, and not worth the cost. it is mostly just that we were not made to feel at all welcome and spending $85 drinking money for this privilege was quite frustrating. I was curious to make marvindc in future with the family part of my trip to dc. that will not be the case. I will not come back, nor would I recommend someone who protects marvin what is regrettable.

My hunch was a bit underdone/cold. I'd like to fried harder. scallops were great. wein and drinks were top notch.

A customer invited to dinner to celebrate the signing of a contract, and our server, duane (spelling? took care of us all night. he made it very special and relaxing, as we did not ask to fill our drinks, and he made a few recommendations, the spot on for what we believed. definitiw recommend to anyone looking for a good meal, and has a fine edgy tooth in the south (if that makes sense.)

I went to Marvin to celebrate my birthday with my fiance. Food was good, prices are reasonable, and the staff was very attentive. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits, and my fiance said the curried mussels were outstanding. I'm very glad to have found this place I will definitely return and recommend it to friends.
