Bidrage med feedbackThis pub is a nice spot for a drink, although it doesn't offer anything particularly unique. We stopped by on a Saturday evening around 9:30pm, looking for a quick and quiet drink. Located on the edge of town where it transitions into a residential area, the atmosphere was relaxed. There were a few people chatting quietly and a small group watching football. We were promptly served at the bar, where we both ordered Plymouth Gin and Fever Tree tonic. The double G&Ts came to £14, which is standard for premium gin. The staff were friendly and not intrusive. The pub boasts a well-stocked bar and we even had a discussion about their Pimms cider. The menu featured typical pub fare, with specials like Sunday roast and pulled pork chips. I appreciated the family-friendly atmosphere, with toys and books for children. The restroom is located upstairs. Overall, a pleasant place for a drink, but not one that stands out.
I have been going to this pub once a month for a while now, always enjoying the meals and drinks. However, after receiving a parking ticket for using the pub's car park, I will not be returning. It seems like pure greed by the owners, as English pubs typically do not charge for parking. There are plenty of other good restaurants nearby that will now have my business. We did not see any signs or payment machines for parking, and if we had, we would have chosen to leave. Our bill came to £87 plus an extra £50 for parking. Never again, Mr. Green Man.
