The Hungry Hiker - Walhalla

Wow! What a great find!! I googled restaurants in Walhalla and found this gem and we will definitely come back!! Super cute and great food! We had chicken taco salad which my friend said is one of the best he has had. Chicken fried chicken was crunchy and smothered in delicious gravy, yum! I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and fried okra, it was so satisfying ?

The food is really good! We have always had a great experience every time we go And the decor is really nice, great place!

The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because of the lack of air conditioning in July. Hotter than hades....everything else was great. Especially the fried green tomatoes.

Went for lunch and had a great meal with great service. The restaurant was clean and was well appointed with hiking decor with seating inside and outside. We started with fried green tomatoes which were very good! The hamburgers are excellent and probably a half pound patty. The meat loaf was very good too. The parmesan cheese grits were very good especially if you like parmesan cheese. Overall our table enjoyed all items that we ordered and we will definitely be back to try more menu items. They do have daily specials too. Well worth the stop if you passing by or drive if you are in Seneca or Westminster!

Well, we were really sad after calling ahead to make sure they were open as yelp said to contact the business due to the holiday. They said they were open on the phone and we got there in under 10 minutes to have them tell us (at 12:15) they just closed. If they shared they may be closed by the time we got there, I wouldn't be posting a negative review..but, don't get me to come to your establishment to turn me away. It looked like good potential, but as we are travelers from out of town we'll never get to try the place to know. I hope others have a more positive experience.
