Summer Palace - Waco

I have many Chinese buffets and the summer palace is up there among the three tops. The food was very delicious, great variety, friendly staff. The bathrooms were cleaned. One thing I didn't like is that they don't offer the 10% military discount as many other restaurants do. Nevertheless, the regular price was low enough to ensure it.

This is definitely one of my most popular Chinese food buffet places! The Mei Fun noodles are a specialty here, and the fried rice is great! Don't forget the broccoli chicken or the broccoli cow! If you have a great desire for Chinese food, but someone else in your party does not care much for it, tell them that they also have American Food on the other side of the buffet area. Pizza, chicken nuggets, STEAK (was delicious), bread rolls (VERY comparable to Bush's chicken rolls), and a huge selection of products from the salad bar with a variety of fruits. The watermelon tasted so good, especially at this time of the year I expected less sweetness, but I was wrong! And the vanilla ice cream was a taste very close to homemade vanilla ice cream! It was all so good!

Love this place !! Love that they have crawfish on buffet but the bad thing is NO CHANGING TABLE for the baby !?? What the heck ? This is a family buffet and no Changing table for the babies !? Other then that I love this place !! Great food and great prices ! And they mail out coupons so that’s another plus !!

It has a pretty good set of choices and the price is not bad considering it's a buffet. They keep the buffet area clean and stocked (though we usually for lunch, no idea if it's the same for dinner). The service is quick and polite. If I had to pick at something, the fruits (particularly the strawberry) tasted watered down oddly enough. And the pineapple tasted like it was going. Everything else was fine.
