Bidrage med feedbackFriendly service, no long waiting time as reported by others. Good wine: the first bottle from the special selection was too old which was no problem at all, we got another one (although not from the special list). The food was good but not perfect; the fish was slightly dry (overcooked), but the meat (deer) was very good. The dessert, baked apricots with vanilla, was great. It was a pity that the ice cream spoom contained crystals (probably too long stored in the freezer). In general certainly worth a visit.
I at at the Restaurant Arbor twice and loved it both times. Nestled in the heart of Sud Tyrol, this restaurant is not typical of the region. While the ingredients are local, the food is much more refined. The restaurant is run by a husband/wife team. He is the chef and he has a subtle hand with herbs. I loved the carpaccio of wild boar with local herbs and shaved parmigiano cheese. The risotto was top drawer too. There's a lot of local game and fowl to choose from. There's a small room with an antique stove and chock full of old memorabilia that harkens back to the rustic days of this area. I would imagine there are very few restaurants of this quality in Vipiteno and I highly recommend that you try it.
Refined and very well-kept cuisine. traditional dishes that perfectly match innovation. great attention to the gluten-free menu. exceptional, a vipiteno is a must!
