Bidrage med feedbackThis is a family run restaurant/coffeehouse which has a garden with also inside seating. It is very popular with the natives and particular with people that work in the Prater as well as in the 2nd part of Vienna. One can enjoy a full meal...all day long or just a glass of wine, beer or coffee and a delicious gateaux for which Austria is famous for. I had on my last visit a Pork Schnitzl which was perfectly cooked, fresh crisp the right golden colour and I must say a very substantial portion. I also had Marillen Knoedeln (Apricot Dumplings) an Austrian speciality I would say imported from the days of the Austrian Empire when the emporer alo had Hungary and Slovakia. It was made with cream cheese it can also be made with potatoes as it used to be done in the olden days. The ones with cream cheese are light and much more enjoyable.
We went here with family and friends for lunch. Most of the dishes on the menu include some fried food like schnitzel. It was really not special or good at all. I ordered a vegetarian dish; a huge chunk of warm feta cheese, served with...two warm tomato slices. Not too great at all! Cannot recommend this place.
We had a gala dinner with 60 guests. A mix a traditional and international cooking in a brasserie style. Very helpfull and mutilingual staff.
Awful service, went to get my own menu eventually and shouted at and told to wait like everyone else. Will not go back
