Take a look at the menu, you can't say I'd like to eat there because ... Apart from the first course, you never know what it will be, everything else is in the fridge, perhaps heated a little and placed on the plate, despite this wait !! They have other dishes, but you have to book them in advance. Of course I knew what I want to eat tomorrow. Beside this what I ate found was nothing to remember for. In any case, the bar near my office, despite serving precooked food, has greater diversification, they are better and tastier and not the four five ingredients of different shapes. When you ask the bill, you have to wait for someone to arrive from the kitchen, who doesn't even look at you, takes the money and goes back to the kitchen. WOW can't wait to go back, right?
This is a very unusual place, warm and with a cosy chalet feel. Most of the products are grown by the owners and all are local, yet the kitchen is managed by a real chef. The result is incredible! Ideal for couples, friends, dates and families, as long as kids are above 8/9 and not too picky about food: no pizza or spaghetti with tomato sauce here... I enjoyed the feeling of being in a very authentic place (as opposed to some of those places that look and feel very touristic) loved talking to the owners and gladly accepted their suggestions. Average wines and excellent grappas. Prices are slightly above local competition, but it is really worth it if you ask me. They sell their own honey, sirups, cheese, jams and jellies... make sure you bring some at home! I really recommend this place.
We took two dishes of the day and a shin, and everything was very good. Also the desserts were dedicated and good-tasting. The cuisine is not particularly elaborated, but this is in line with local cuisine, so another good point scored. Final prize, for what we consumed, was very balanced: we paid 64€ in 3 people. Absolutely suggested!
To the agritur fopaia we ate really well: appetizer, first, second and sweet all very good. to try the first tris chosen by the cook, a surprise for the palate! plentiful and greedy portions, excellent polenta with mushrooms! owner very kind and attentive to the choice of the products of the area. Also recommended for the location in the valley a few steps from the lakes of San leonardo.
