Shyamal Restaurant - Varanasi

Service is slow but staff is well behaved. Good for non-veg dishes. Ambience is ok. Food taste is mediocre. Can improve. I like chilly paneer, chilly chicken and veg thali.

This restaurant came highly recommended for their non veg items and surely it didn't disappoint. Chicken kali mirch was my favourite, really really delicious. Kadhai chicken was nice enough. Roasted chicken was okish because they do not serve green chutney with it, so it overall reduces the taste. Veg dishes were ok. I really dnt understand why in banaras, restaurants add makhane in dal makhni. Service was on time. Staff is pretty friendly, not much to the ambience. Prices are affordable plus a 10% discount for BHUites. Non veg lovers this is the place for you!!

A normal restaurant with an option to sit in the lawns or indoors. You might have to look for it else it is easy to miss out. Inexpensive for birthday parties and regular parties when on a tight pocket. I liked the snacks here specially spring roll and manchurian. The staff gets a little irritating to deal with at times and ocassional delays in bringing the order.

Great food at cheap and affordable prices. Fair ambience, fast service and great hospitality. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available.

Been here once. Not impressive, but not bad definitely. Prices are managable (from a student's perspective) for occational visits. Key factor is, when discussing with friends for an outing, Shyamal's will come in the argument list.
