The Chalkboard - Tulsa

Burger was good- served on a brioche bun which is always a plus- served to your liking! They have a full bar for cocktails and beers- mimosas they have a couple different kinds- we went for lunch! The place was a cute vibe! Wine flights and beer flights available!

First time at the Chalkboard and it was good. I would recommend it. The menu changes as I understand it, but the menu this trip was well developed and encompassed several items that looked to be interesting. I chose the Chalkboard Wellington which was well prepared. My spouse chose the filet which came out under cooked, but they immediately corrected that in a very timely manner. My only critique would be that it's a bit pricey, but most restaurants are these days.

The temperature in the restaurant was cold and lights were bright. Two times during dinner other people’s drinks were delivered to our table and we had to tell the servers that we didn’t order. The drinks were the delivered to the correct tables. I am surprised that would happen at this nice of a restaurant. The service was prompt and our server was pleasent. We told her that we were going to a show at the PAC and we received our food and drinks in a timely matter. We were surprised the background music wasn’t instrumental but instead a more updated stream with vocals. We had hoped for a more cozy atmosphere. They did turn the lights down once we mentioned it. The beef Wellington and salmon were both good. The bread was nothing special.

We sat at the bar for drinks on a Thursday night. Great bartender, Evan, was welcoming and friendly. He had a great playlist going and The Bob Ross Show playing on a TV in a picture frame over the bar...very cool. Had a few drinks and watched Bob Ross create beautiful scenery with the stroke of his brush! The next morning we had breakfast here...delicious omelets. Then returned around 7pm to the bar and sat at the far table next to the Guitarist, Dave Kane, playing live Simon and Garfunkel tunes... he said he us there every Friday night). Good tunes. Had a snack...Wedge Salad and Spinach/Artichoke dip with crackers. Both excellent. Fresh flowers on table! Very good service in the bar area with gracious smiling staff...looking forward to returning!
