Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This restaurant was amazing. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I particularly enjoyed browsing the gift shop inside, which had a great selection of items. Although it was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it. The staff was attentive and on point, with the server consistently checking on us to refill drinks, offer dessert, ensure the food was delicious, and make sure we were comfortable. It was clear that they knew exactly what they were doing.

The grits that came with my fried catfish were served cold, making it impossible for the butter to melt into them as they desperately needed. The broccoli was also cold but was saved with a little salt added. Even after requesting piping hot grits, they still came out cold the second time around. Disappointed, I decided to switch to steak fries which turned out to be delicious. Overall, while the service and some of the food fell short, the steak fries did win us over in the end.

I don't know what happened to Cracker Barrel. It used to be a fantastic spot for chicken-fried steak and biscuits with gravy, but not anymore! The gravy is tasteless, the biscuits are dry, and the cornbread isn't as sweet as it used to be. It's disappointing. I also ordered broccoli, but it arrived cold on a hot plate. It tasted like it had just come out of the fridge. When I asked for hot broccoli, I received a bowl of it with onions and tomatoes mixed in. Maybe they should clean the serving spoon or use separate ones for different items. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Every single time I come to eat breakfast at the Barrel, there is always something new. Cinnamon roll lattes......what?!......had to try. It wasn 't overly sweet. Just a hint of cinnamon roll. Had my standard build a breakfast . Got so hung up on the peg game that I had to purchase one. Could not get past three pegs. As the game says... I guess I 'm just plain dumb . Lol

It was absolutely great. good was fantastic, service was wonderful, I loved the small gift shop in which had so many wonderful things to choose. was a little pricy, but it was worth it. everyone was there. server has constantly refilled beverages after us and checked whether we want dessert to ensure that our eating was satisfactory, and just check in our comfort. they really know what they do.
