Bidrage med feedbackUnder new ownership, Mickey's Pub has brought new life to what was once an empty and closed establishment by 8pm on weekends. The place is now bustling and always busy, offering outstanding food and great service. The owners and staff are attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to support their business. They are making a positive impact on the dining scene in the area, which was previously lacking options like this. Criticisms from those who miss the old place are misguided, as they are the reason the food scene in the area has struggled.
I dined at this restaurant again recently. Although there have been changes in ownership since my last visit, the food is still bland and our waitress was unfriendly and seemed annoyed to be serving us. We will be avoiding this place in the future.
We ordered the buffalo cauliflower, expecting freshly made roasted cauliflower tossed in sauce, but instead received cheap frozen cauliflower bites that were disappointing. The French Onion soup, recommended by others, was also a letdown. It was overloaded with cheese, with a soggy piece of white bread taking up most of the crock. The lack of onions and broth made the dish unappetizing. Additionally, we noticed that some tables received chips and salsa upon arrival, but we did not, assuming they were complimentary for all guests. Overall, we predict that Mickey's Port of Call Pub will not last long and may close within a year.
Came across this place after our poor experience(service related) at Stewarts down the street. Nice divey type place. Friendly server. Rare burger with grilled onions for me. Fried shrimp for my son. Burger was actually rare!! Not bad. Shrimp were previously frozen but tasty. We'll stop back again.
So yeah there's new owners and the food is ok if you like overpriced bar food! SUPER EXPENSIVE!! Also FALSE ADVERTISING!! BEWARE that the Guinness advertised on their sign as being only $4 a pint is supposedly only at the bar BUT DOES NOT SAY THAT ON THEIR SIGN! THEY ADVERTISE ON THEIR SIGN AS HAVING $4 Guinness Pints! This is a scam and if I didn't look over my check I never would have known I was being duped! They were charging us at a table $5 per pint. I wonder how many people this has happened to without them knowing!!! And how many other secret added charges they are doing without their customers knowing! Handwritten checks still so unless you really inspect your bill it's hard to tell what's what! Not a good way to make an impression as a new owner in a small town!!!
