Yorkeys Knob Takeaway - Trinity Beach

We are fortunate to have such excellent takeaway options in Yorkeys, and Tasty's is one of the best. As seasoned travelers who have dined at Michelin-starred restaurants around the globe, we can confidently say that our meal at Tasty's was one of the most enjoyable we've had. The dishes were expertly prepared, and the combination of ingredients was carefully considered. We did not order any beverages with our meal.

Went and got a seafood basket that I get all the time but it was average. The whole thing was not cooked properly and cold. A bad let down after I have been going there for a while with no problems. I will try 1...more time.

Staying around Yorkys on holiday we went for a walk and stopped at this little cafe on the beach for a light snack/lunch. They had a substantial fast food menu but we chose toasted sandwiches with coffee. We were even offered a choice of breads...which was impressive. We chose to sit at the tables outside and watch the world go by, a nice way to pass the time on holidays.

Not normally an eater of fast food, I ate here with great reservation, but it proved to be a lot better than I expected. Was surprised to see that this place had a sign indicating that it had taken a place as one of the...best fast food places in Cairns region the previous year. It was very clean and the burger was priced well and the chips were cooked so that they were tasty and not soft or too salty and greasy. The burger was actually looking quite healthy, with the lettuce and beetroot as well as carrot and other salad items. The cheese and egg may have been a bit much for the avid eater of health foods, but the pineapple was a nice touch. I must stress that it was a couple of years ago, so I cannot comment on the current state of the place, and the date range on here doesn't cover the period, so I have to put the closest approximate.

As locals we regularly buy the battered mackerel here and it's fresh and delicious. We think for quality and price it's one of the better deals around Cairns. The new owners have made a real effort to give the place a much needed facelift and...they deserve the increased customer base that they appear to be attracting.
