Bidrage med feedbackOn Saturday we cried j p moulinet, poissonnerie, (only on the road from the bistrot and that was close, as we hoped to dinate at his place. he told us to go down to the bistrot, ask for frederic, book a table and come back what we did. he then made an fruit-de-mer plate for two (approximately 50€, which we were down to the arered our table was set quite handy in the window. brot, weeping, desert, coffee and some delicious Breton delicacies followed (57€ and each number of passersby by saw our dinner and came in. a very happy culinary experience, which was somewhat randomly developed and with the help of frederic and m. moulinet became an unforgettable evening. thanks le bistrot d’ernest and j p m
Our starter was way over, the steak of our son was raw and he had a gastroenteritis the afterwards and the citron cake we had for desert was burned in the oven.
We were lucky that we had the possibility to go several times to this bistro. You can choose between different menu 's at a reasonable price. Try the excellent Coquilles St. Jacques or Foie gras (home made) with a good glass of wine! A quiet atmosphere,...a nice service and an excellent chef de cuisine: those are the ingredients of a wonderful evening.
Had been looking forward to trying this place out as it looked interesting and inviting from the outside. But sadly for us it fell well below our expectations. The dishes were meanly presented with virtually no 'extras ', like veg or garnish. The advertised accompanying salad...was minimalist and had no dressing at all. On the positive side the waitress was charming and friendly. Could do so much better, but sadly doesn 't. Give it a miss, there are better places in Treguier.
I don't understand how a restaurant this bad can survive in a town full of great places. Frozen escargot says it all! Avoid.
