Bidrage med feedbackThey have completely missed the mark on the Irish pub concept... The beer section was abysmal. They had a whole page of beers on their menu, but hardly any of them were actually available. My partner had a very frustrating time trying to get his drink ordered. The music that blared from the speakers was American, not Irish. As for the food...we ordered two types of wings: honey garlic, and pickled . We requested ocho (8) of each (there was 8 or 12-wing options). When the wings came, we had received 12 of the pickle ones, which we did not want...we wanted to try the smaller amount to see if we liked them, and then maybe get more, or try another kind. We tried to communicate the error to our server, but she did not speak any english, which is fair enough, but she did not get someone who could when it was clear that we needed to communicate something (as other restaurants here have done when needed). We finally gave up trying to clarify. Upon tasting the wings, we were puzzled...neither tasted anything like honey garlic or dill. We thought maybe she misunderstood when we ordered (even though we had pointed at our choices on the menu). Again, our attempts to clarify with her were unsuccessful, and she did not get another staff to help us. The pickle wings tasted like weak franks hotsauce, and the honey garlic tasted like...I don 't even know what. Neither was enjoyable, to say the least. I also had a sad vodka and lemonade, which tasted like it was made from juice crystals and which I could not finish. When we got our bill, we had (of course) been charged for 12 pickle wings, rather than the 8 we requested (and ate). We did not even bother trying to clarify the bill...we just paid and got the heck out. We won 't be back.
This restaurant was across the street from our hotel so we gave it a shot. It's loud, very loud, I've been to rock concerts that weren't this loud. The patio is also loud but you can at least have a conversation. The draft beers are huge which is not a bad thing. My wife's Caesar salad was very good. Being from Buffalo, I ordered the chicken wings. They were very tasty but so small I suspect they were made from hummingbirds, not chickens. I normally eat 10 wings at home, I could have eaten forty of these. The service was very slow but our server was extremely overworked and it wasn't his fault.
This is a reasonable pub, although they had no wine for my sister-in-law. The staff were friendly, if a little slow. Hardly any spoke English never mind Irish.
I was walking around with a Mexican friend trying to decide where to eat when I found an Irish pub in Cancun didn't not expect that and I was looking forward to eating Authentic Mexican food but couldn't resist trying this out. Its a nice place with a big variety of beers from around the world which is very nice. Its kinda refreshing to hear some rock music when you aren't so much into the Latin stuff. Tht night there was a tribute band to Guns n roses but we couldn't stay because it was over booked. I give it a 3 just because my food was just ok. Im need to eat gluten free, so not a big choice of food for me but my friend had a burger and he loved it. I would go back but more for drinks and music than actually eating. But if you need a break from Mexican food and you are in the area go try it out
This is off the beaten track and not near the hotel district. The service was beyond slow (drinks and food). I swear I thought they had to go kill the chickens to bring back to cook for us. Our server did not speak English but I understand I am in Mexico and it is not a big deal to me. The restaurant was decorated nicely and of Irish theme. It was very clean. It is a local place for locals not frequented by tourists.
