Pear Tree Cafe - Torquay

This caffe has changed its name in italo. the employees are always welcoming and happy and the service is very good. they always have delicious food here. we chose the mushroom risotto and the lamb slice. both meals met our expectations. the coffee was strong and delicious....I can recommend this caffe.

This restaurant is a hidden gem with an inviting pizza menu and a huge wood fire oven. The service is friendly and quick, and you have the option to sit both indoors and outdoors on the street.

It's a shame that they haven't changed the restaurant's name to the new one. It's not worth trying to eat here unless it's 1 o'clock in the afternoon! They apparently don't allow seating after 7pm, only takeout orders are accepted. The service is slow and not worth the time. There are much better local restaurants in the city to spend your money at.

We popped in for lunch and although we walked away with satisfied tummies the food was nothing special. We ordered pizza, it was tasty but some slices barely had any topping on them! Coffee was semi-ordinary, hot chocolate good, wine okay. Not a lot of...ambiance inside, murals on the wall are tired and dated. Staff were friendly but didn’t go out of their way to deliver above average service. Pizza prices on the high-ish side for what we were served. I would dine there again but wouldn’t rush back anytime soon.
