It is a nice little place with average food, not really italian, but close. probably a not Italian cook. the server need training as you are on small things. the smiling bartender basket is the best energy in the room for otherwise the personal is tired or simply uninterested. I don't think the owner is in business anymore because he doesn't commit.
Beautiful small Italian restaurant in cove shopping center. simple parking space. eating is reasonably expensive. are good sizes (like the glasses of the wee we were there twice in the last month and both of them had delicious meals. once with family, once with small group. very courteous and the owner roger could not be nicer. family atmosphere. great place!
Why didn't I believe eveyone in yelp? he hoped for a quick easy eating and didn't think you could really screw up Italian food, which is terrible. I was wrong. that eating was terrible, bordered on inedible and I don't think I said that about a restaurant. the service was also miserable. do not be kidding if I tell you that our food was almost thrown on our table. never again. don't waste your money.
I've recently moved to Tiburon and was thrilled when I found this restaurant was located a short walk away. I've eaten here four times and have found it to be generally pleasant, but the quality of food offerings is inconsistent. The sauces tend to be over salted and on one occasion I found a chicken bone in my lasagna. That was ironic because I had just had a mixed salad and found what looked like a large root among the greens. The waiter looked at it and seemed puzzled. He brought the salad back to the kitchen and I could see the kitchen staff looking at it rather quizzically as well. They did bring me a new one, but it made me slightly uncomfortable knowing that the root had probably been contained in the bag of pre-prepared greens from the vendor. When I returned with a group of friends two days ago one of my dining partners asked that her gnocchi entree be returned to the kitchen as it bore no resemblance to any gnocchi she had ever had in the past and this is an Italian American who's eaten in virtually every S.F. restaurant. All that said, the service is usually pretty good and it's nice to have a place close by that also has a full bar. Although I'd recommend the restaurant, it can be hit or miss, so don't be surprised if you get some surprises.
