Great food and friendly staff. A hole in the wall that is well worth trying more than once. The papusas are great, as is everything else I tried. I will go back again for sure.

I have been to San Salvador twice and went both times to what the locals said was the best papusaria in town. La Carreta in Thousand Oaks is better. I love the plain cheese papusas, and the casamiento (beans and rice) is too good to describe.

This is a place where you can actually taste the authentic and closest to the original salvadoran food flavors, at a reasonable and fair price. They also cook your food by the time you order so be patient, but it is totally worth the wait , thank you la Carrera for reminding me of El Salvador and amazing pupusas and tamales

Haven't found another place that sells pupusas as delicious as this one! There have been slight memories of other good restaurants and perhaps slightly cheaper but they don't reach the flavors of these right here still. Don't always come here since I live in Oxnard but when I do I come on an empty stomach so I can really enjoy the pupusas. Have never bothered to try anything else on the menu since these are so good. I recommend the cheese with chile chicharron only revuelta(chicharron cheese and beans) queso y loroco(cheese with Salvadoran flower)
