Cottonwood General Store - Terlingua

This was an unbelievable treat. This store has more vegan options than anywhere, ever. Ever. Ever ever. Ever ever!

I brought a lot of food in because I had read in books and articles that there would be very limited options in this area. This place was a wonderful surprise. The manager was great and could speak with knowledge about all the organic and vegan options. Yay!

We brought most of our food with us expecting this remote area of Texas to have little to no staples, let alone indulgences we would eat. We sure were surprised! Cottonwood Grocery has everything we would have wanted. See images for specifics. This isn’t just one or two accidentally vegan products, it’s all the brands we are used to getting in a big city (and some products our big city grocery stores have been out of for a while). They also have a whole separate room of produce everything looked fresh delicious!

Visited in February 2023. I haven't found many vegan options. Definitely enough to eat, but no ton of choices I saw. Production was okay, not a cauliflower. It's quite just option around and you won't starve, but I didn't see what others saw. Maybe outside the season, maybe less in stock. We mostly bought milk and products.
