Salhojankadun Pub - Tampere Suomi

I think the best Pub in Finland and the time has come with beer. Because of this, I could move to Chicago.

This pub is the oldest in Tampere with a wonderful ambiance and great variety of products. It also used have great staff. However, lately it has become clear that the current staff has absolutely no clue about customer service and are downright rude to customers. Also the variety of products has sunk and the upkeep of the pub leaves much to be desired. This is a real tragedy to a legendary pub, and I sincerely hope they can get their act together before they have no customers left.

Really great local pub with selection of British beers. Nothing too fancy, but plain and relaxed atmosphere. Expect to meet many locals and some old farts who have come here every Friday even for decades.

We only stopped for a short visit and found the pub to be very nice with a good selection of beer and friendly staff , we plan to return for a longer visit when we next visit Tampere. Conveniently situated on the route between the city centre and the Ice Hockey Arena.

Very nice atmosphere which hasn´t been spoiled by attempts to lure in youngsters with bands and stupid background music. Old geezers by the bar, friends throwing darts and couples enjoying pints in cozy booths. Nice selection of ales.
