Pollo Tropical - Tampa

The food was delicious and very flavorful. However, I was disappointed to find that my order was missing beans and the plantains, which were nearly $5, were fried in old, dirty oil (unacceptable).

I absolutely love this place! Whenever I'm in Florida, I never miss the opportunity to stop by for some delicious Lalo, rice, Grotte, plantains, and salad. We always enjoy our meal and leave feeling satisfied.

The woman wearing a red shirt and bonnet was very impolite and did not provide us with forks. When we asked, she responded with attitude. Additionally, two out of three orders were incorrect, as the rice bowls were supposed to contain chicken but only had rice. Furthermore, to add to the disappointment, we found bleach residue in the cups and the drink machine.

My friends tease me because I'm Cuban and I've never been to Pollo Tropical. This afternoon, my friends and I went to Adventure Island. On the way home we stopped in PT. The food was great. I had the TropiChop. Good stuff. The best was Julie. Julie really knows her menu and helped me decide what to order. The restaurant was busy and she treated the line like a professional. Too bad it's not like her anymore! Thanks Julie!

This was my first time eating food from this restaurant. The inside of the restaurant appeared to be old. Though the tables were clear, not all were clean. There were hardly no customers seated inside and there was at least 6 people working. The cashier appeared to be new as she was slow to responding. One of the people who was handling the food stopped what she was doing to get us our drinks and anything else we asked for. The food was not bad. It just didn 't give me that wow, this is really good feeling. A serving of black beans in a cup came with my husband 's meal, it was literally a side of black bean juice...about 5 beans in the cup....literally. Other than that, it wasn 't a bad experience. I would return..maybe yesterday was an off day. I did love seeing fresh (not frozen) chicken being prepared on an open grill.
