Ocean Treasure 235 - Tameside

I was disappointed to learn that the softshell crabs were not available due to a lack of space in the far east where they are imported. when we were in a hurry, I had no time to search the menu again for a replacement. I would have liked to order some of the more interesting starters and specials, but almost instinktiw for one of my kindness lovers, “Aromatic crispy duck with Pancakes”. shredded table side with a seriously impressive speed.

There are a lot of Chinese restaurants all around the UK and most cities tend to now have a China town where there are a few streets full of various Chinese restaurants, cafes, noodle bars and bakery shops as such. But this little gem; Ocean Treasure is located in the heart of the Great Northern entertainment complex, and situated in the same building as casino hot spot Machester 235, the restaurant could not be better placed to cater for discerning diners. It may be located away from China town but the food and the ambience definitely brings out the Chinese culture and is definitely worth a visit. We discovered this fantastic restaurant last night that we had not been to before. We had a wonderful evening with delicious food, attentive staff, and impressive kitchen. We have now added this restaurant to our favorites and plan to return soon. Highly recommend!

This spacious restaurant is highly esteemed by the Chinese patrons I know. On a slow weeknight visit, we noticed more Chinese diners than British, though I found the decor a bit worn and the food underwhelming. Perhaps we didn't choose the best dishes. The service, however, was much more welcoming compared to our last visit.

This must be the best Chinese restaurant in town. The food is amazing, surpassing even the popular spot where footballers dine in Spinningfields. The menu offers a fantastic variety and tastes like it's been prepared by an authentic Chinese chef. The staff are incredibly friendly and always make us feel welcome whenever we visit. I can't praise this place enough, we have been coming here regularly and it never disappoints.
