Bidrage med feedbackExcellent quality delicious food and weep. not too expensive either with the excellent service they get for fine eating. we even have a free dessert for the birthday of my partner. I loved the Wagyu oxen and the kingfish sashimi. would like to come back to try the other selection menu.
Table development we booked and received a confirmation and then at the arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed for a high time. no excuse. no alternatives. we've dimmed 117 and it's 5 stars. the system of open table booking is a catastrophe. 2 nights in succession
We enjoyed the menu for sustainable seafood. each curs offered a thoughtful, interesting combination of high-quality ingredients, beautifully presented. the employees were welcoming and efficient, could answer our questions quickly or find a answer for us and were willing to bring successive courses with a speed that suits us. the room in which it was served was comfortable and not too loud (although busy), but the facility seemed a little dry.
The restaurant is not to be found without help, as it is only accessible by another restaurant to walk. the host had no recordings about our OpenTable booking, but continued to put us in time. cautious, despite complaining that our surprise presence created an oversold situation, remained more than a table for the duration of our stay. once sitting, the service was sufficient, but less attentive than expected given the price range. we would have bought at least two glasses of wine if they had noticed our empty glasses earlier. eating was eclectic and artistic and satisfying. a pleasant evening, anyway.
Although this restaurant describes itself as "fine dining", it is more "would like to be" rather than actually "is". The atmosphere suffers from its location - it is dark and noisy - being located right next to the large buffet at related restaurant Cafe Opera. The menu has truffles, which is perhaps what the restaurant hangs its hat on - the other dishes are unremarkable. Service is average, not helped by my cocktail being served in a badly chipped glass. I was brought a replacement drink with an apology but not offered any form of discount or gratuity to compensate. Dishes are generous - there is also a complimentary appetiser (mine was quail with peas, mash and truffle) that was just okay, my main was a Roast Pumpkin Terrine with side dishes of Mixed Salad, Beans and Vegetables. All side dishes are plated well but are drenched in greasy dressing or sauce and the main dish was bland. Overall, I am left with an impression of "would be if we could be" - people come for the truffles I'd say.
